The Acupuncture Centre was founded in Cape Town in 2015 by Dr Junaid Rawoot to meet the rising demand of holistic alternative healthcare that is effective, affordable and accessible.

Dr Junaid Rawoot uses Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a scientific system of natural science, humanities and social science. Thus Dr Rawoot takes a holistic approach, making a diagnosis that encompasses the mind, body and soul. Due to this, consultations tend to take longer than with a conventional doctor. This allows Dr Rawoot to not only treat the symptoms but to also solve any underlying conditions. He prides himself in being steadfast with his patients long after treatments and consultations.

The wide range of treatments from acupuncture to cupping are used to treat an extensive range of ailments from a headache to fertility challenges and beyond.
